BETTING SMALL DOGS OR MONEYLINE-DO YOU REALIZE YOU ARE BUYING POINTS???

An interesting thought is do you take 2-5 points or take the moneyline in basketball. In football we know you never take an underdog +1-2.5 as very few football games end at exactly 1 or 2 point game,so you obviously take the moneyline. Now in hoops you have fouling and a thought process. For example you can take a team +3 and its -110. OR take the dog to win and get +135. So when you take a team +a small number you need to realize you are buying points. Then you must decide if you really like the dog or are you just betting it saying either team can win. How many times does that small number matter. Keep a tally and see how many times you win a bet when your dog loses by 2-3 as a 3.5+ dog. Its something to think about-is it worth it to lay the -110 or do you take the PLUS money. Taking the dog moneyline means you need win 50%, while taking a team + 2-4 at -110 you need to win 53%….. Food for thought because while you research more often then not you think the dog will win outright. Something to think about in your betting travels
