10/30 WORLD SERIES GAME#5 DODGERS AT YANKEES

World Series Game #5 Preview: Yankees -142 vs. Dodgers +130, Total 8.5

The New York Yankees forced a Game 5 and now look to jump back into the series tonight. They’ll send out their ace, Gerrit Cole, in need of a top-notch performance. The Dodgers counter with Jack Flaherty, who rarely delivers back-to-back quality starts. We have the same line and total as last night, despite the Dodgers resting their high-leverage arms. With a bullpen disadvantage, it’s imperative that Cole delivers an ace effort tonight. If Cole keeps the ball down and in the ballpark, the Yankees will be in great shape.

The Yankees should get to Flaherty early as they see him for a second time. The Yankees look like the side to take here, but the -142 line is too steep. The rested Dodgers bullpen is their best asset tonight. While I usually trust the over in Dodgers playoff games, the value isn’t there tonight. The Yankees are becoming more patient at the plate, which should help them reach Flaherty early. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is likely to keep a short leash on Flaherty if he struggles. Expect more crooked numbers from the Yankees as they push to force a Game 6.
